Broomfield, CO — May, 1 2026 — Lignetics Group today announced the availability of NaturFil™ WP1050, a new FDA‑compliant grade of its NaturFil™ bio‑functional filler platform, designed for use in food‑contact applications across rigid and semi‑rigid polymer systems.

NaturFil™ WP1050 expands the NaturFil portfolio to support food‑contact markets, giving converters and brands a new way to meaningfully increase renewable content in finished products. Formulated to be compliant with applicable FDA regulations for food‑contact use at up to 50% loading in finished polymer systems, WP1050 enables manufacturers to make substantive changes to material composition. By supporting higher renewable content, NaturFil™ WP1050 helps reduce reliance on petroleum‑based resins while maintaining the performance and consistency required for food‑contact applications.

Designed to enhance stiffness and dimensional stability, NaturFil™ WP1050 supports the development of food‑contact products such as containers, packaging, and single‑use items where material performance, regulatory alignment, and brand expectations intersect. By displacing a portion of traditional petroleum‑based polymers, WP1050 helps brands advance sustainability goals in applications subject to increasing scrutiny from customers, retailers, and regulators.

NaturFil™ WP1050 is produced using Lignetics Group’s patent‑pending densification technology and is compatible with widely used polymers including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC, ABS, PLA, and PHA. It is suitable for common manufacturing processes such as injection molding and extrusion used in food‑contact applications.

“WP1050 was developed for brands and converters that want to make a meaningful impact on the material footprint of food‑contact products,” said Nathan Mangum, VP & GM of Industrial, Lignetics Group. “By enabling high bio‑content formulations within FDA frameworks, WP1050 helps reduce dependence on petroleum‑based materials without sacrificing the performance standards these applications demand.”

Like all NaturFil™ products, WP1050 is derived from sustainably sourced wood residuals that would otherwise go to waste, supporting circular material use and a reliable, scalable supply chain.
