Our Roots:
The Allegheny Wood Pellet brand was manufactured by the New England Wood Pellet Company, the oldest and largest pellet manufacturer in the Northeastern United States. Today, Allegheny pellets are still made in the same Pennsylvania-based facility with a great deal of pride in quality and craftsmanship.
Our stringent quality standards apply to every pellet in every bag and exceed industry standards. And while a primary goal of our company has been to constantly improve upon and evolve our premium wood pellets, one thing has never changed: our dedication to making not just the best performing wood pellets in America, but the most trusted, too.

Pride in Every Pellet
Through our experience manufacturing wood pellets since 1992, we know there is a lot required in order to make a high quality pellet. Not all pellets are created equal nor do all pellets have the same burn characteristics given the range of pellet appliances available on the market. Over time, we have earned its reputation for providing consumers with a consistently performing product.
Pellet quality depends upon the quality of the wood fiber from which it is made and the handling of that material in the pellet making process. Testing through in-house lab analysis of incoming materials and finished product is a standard operating procedure for us. The testing process is also matched with independent third party lab analysis, as well, further ensuring the maintenance of high quality production.
Our products are manufactured using local materials obtained here in the northeast and, in turn, mostly represents a blend of the diversity of tree species found within our region. Our pellets generally have an 90% hardwood, 10% softwood composition.
